I had the opportunity to interview co-owners Mary Jones & Jane Bradshaw on their new business venture starting a podcast called “Baked and Beautiful.”
The podcast was created to empower other women to not be afraid of sharing to the world that they get baked. They target women ages 21+ who enjoy listening to podcasts, but also love all things beauty and cannabis related!
How many of us feel a certain stigma around saying we smoke weed?
Baked and Beautiful is looking to share with listeners that there are many successful women who get stoned and it’s perfectly okay to do so.
Mary & Jane are both hairdressers in New York City, by chance they realized each other had a love for weed at an art opening when neither of them were too excited about drinking all night. They opened up the conversation to marijuana consumption and realized they both had the same passions.
They lit up a joint, ideas started flowing, and B&B was established.
Together Mary & Jane have over 13 years in the beauty industry and are using the Baked and Beautiful platform to share that knowledge. Whether they are reviewing an Ipsy subscription or talking about new CBD products such as CBD tampons.
The podcast is sure to provide you with great information!
I personally have learned about many new smaller beauty companies that offer great products such as Skone Cosmetics Tattooed eyeliner that was marked “Smoke & Stay Approved” by B&B.
Future Plans
B&B plans on dropping new episodes every other Tuesday with hopes of having a steady weekly schedule by Fall 2017.
They are also looking to open a B&B shop with some fabulous merchandise and currently have some pretty rocking chicks representing the company as B&B Ambassadors.
