I’ve coined the term “lit yogi” but what does that really mean?
Urban Dictionary’s definition of “lit” is – when something is turned up or popping.
Lit Yogi Lifestyle
In terms of yoga and cannabis I tend to think “lit” means getting elevated before or during a yoga sesh in order to connect deeper into your practice.
Cannabis allows the mind to slow the chatter when in a relaxed state. I use cannabis to sink farther into my consciousness and feel the mind-body connection through each pose.
No longer is a vinyasa flow simply going through the motions, but now I can feel my breath and purposely move my body into the asanas. Cannabis allows the mind to lower its inhibitions and break down those conscious feeling we tend to get while on our mats.
For the longest time many of the classes I took were pain staking – not physically, but mentally. The holds felt like they went on forever and the one hour class was like an eternity to me.
Once I started smoking just even a tiny bit before class I was able to relax more, stay more focused on the present moment, and move more freely through the class.
Lit Yogi Apparel
I was inspired to start this “Lit Yogi” line for both men and women alike looking to express their love for yoga and cannabis in a new and sophisticated way!
With the new wave of cannabis yoga classes starting I wanted my apparel to reflect my passions both on and off the mat. My first tank top was a true salute to yoga and weed – because let’s be real what else do you need besides yoga and weed?!
Well maybe a little love, but if you’re on your mat you’re showing self love!
With the new Summer 2017 Lit Yogi Collection I wanted to showcase the modern day stoner. Someone who is chic, sophisticated, and classy. The token stoner clothes are known for being rasta colored, Bob Marley affiliated, bold weed leaves. I wanted something different, something I could wear to yoga, the gym, at home, or dress up for a night on the town.
The Lit Yogi Tank was just that – a nod to the modern stoner in a lovely olive grey shade, flattering muscle tank, with the signature Greenlove logo and “Lit Yogi” slogan.
Yoga Accessories
Greenlove has launched three different eye pillows that showcase characteristics of weed strains.
The “Sativa” Eye Pillow hones in on the higher vibrations and energy you get from smoking sativa strains like Sour Diesel and Green Crack.
The “Indica” Eye Pillow is in a satin print with tiny cannabis leaves that mimics the calming effects of various like OG Kush and Blue Dream.
The “Hybrid” Eye Pillow showcases vibrant colors incorporating both indica and sativa strains of a hybrid such as Girl Scout Cookies and Pineapple Express.
Each of the eye pillows is filled with lavender pods, lavender essential oil, and rice to provide a calming and relaxing effect while in savasana or just taking a break on the couch after a long day!
It is my hope that each of these unique designs will find their way into the homes of like-minded yogis/yoginis, stoners, and cannabis advocates alike!
